• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your résumé content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help operate the Service, including:
  • Anthropic — AI features (résumé scoring, content generation). Your input is processed per Anthropic's privacy policy.
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Vercel / Prisma Data Platform — hosting and database infrastructure
  • Google / GitHub OAuth — optional social sign-in
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of My Easy Resume, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.
• With your consent: For any other purpose with your explicit consent.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and résumé data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer or where it is needed to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

We use the following types of cookies:

• Essential cookies: Required for authentication and core functionality. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
• Analytics cookies: We use Vercel Analytics to understand how users interact with the Service (page views, session duration). This data is aggregated and not linked to individual identities. You can opt out via your browser's Do Not Track setting.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell data to advertising networks.

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted passwords (bcrypt), and access controls. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Delete your account and personal data
• Export your résumé data (available as PDF or plain text from the editor)
• Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

My Easy Resume is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
