Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of myeasyresume.com and all related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by My Easy Resume (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

My Easy Resume provides a web-based platform for creating, editing, and exporting professional résumés. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access or scrape the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any content intended to harm the Service or its users

2. Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering and keep it up to date.

You may not share your account with others or transfer it to another person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

My Easy Resume offers free and paid subscription plans (“Basic” and “Pro”). Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payment processor, Stripe.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date.
  • Refunds: Payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at hello@myeasyresume.com within 7 days.
  • Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

4. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all résumé content, text, and data you create or upload through the Service (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.

We do not sell Your Content to third parties. We do not use Your Content to train AI models without your explicit consent. You are solely responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights.

5. AI Features

The Service includes AI-assisted features (résumé scoring, bullet point generation, job matching, etc.) powered by third-party AI providers. These features are provided “as is” and are meant to assist, not replace, your own judgment. AI-generated suggestions may contain inaccuracies — always review and verify content before using it in a professional context.

We use Anthropic's Claude API to power AI features. Your inputs to AI features may be processed by Anthropic in accordance with their usage policies.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, templates, and brand (excluding Your Content), is owned by My Easy Resume and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.

Resume templates provided by My Easy Resume are licensed to you for personal use only — for creating résumés for yourself. Redistributing or reselling templates is not permitted.

7. Availability & Modifications

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT ANY RESULTS OBTAINED WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYEASYRESUME AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
